We all have bad days, and that is something we cannot avoid no matter how hard we try. Making the most of the bad times is something that will benefit us in the long run.

Below I am going to go over the steps you can and should take to basically hit the refresh button on your day. These things will let you start over and feel as though the things that have been thrown at you are not quite as terrible as they seem.

7 Steps to Hit The Refresh Button on Bad Days:

Step 1: Stop and Breathe

When you can tell things are becoming too much stop. Give yourself a moment to breathe. Take a step back and relax. There is nothing wrong with just ‘chilling.’ Calm down and let yourself really regain power over your mind.

Step 2: Think Things Over

Thinking things over is something that we should all do from time to time. Think about the things that are bothering you and make sure you acknowledge them all. While you should not feed into them you should also not ignore them. Ignoring them will not make them go away.

Step 3: Protect Your Energy

If you feel like you need to take a moment to do some white light meditation. Sit still and really ensure that your energy is not being drained. Give yourself power and really bring forth a sense of protection in whatever way you see fit.

Step 4: Recite Your Affirmations

Whether you find some affirmations online or come up with your own does not matter. Say your affirmations out loud so that they hold more power and really resonate with them. Live by the affirmations you speak.

Step 5: Find Something Positive

Find something positive in all of the negative. Think back to the things bringing you down on that specific day and find something good. Even if it is a small thing, it is still worth paying attention to. Give power to the positive, not the negative.

Step 6: Change Your Mindset

Whenever you feel a negative thought creeping in acknowledge it and let it go. Do not bottle things or hide them away without acknowledging them. Letting go is hard but it makes a huge difference in the way we see things.

Step 7: Continue With An Open Mind

Be openminded as you continue your day. Remember that the negative is not where you should be giving power and think back to that positive thing I mentioned above. Whenever you think you are becoming overwhelmed repeat these steps.
