Embracing the Winter Solstice As A Bridge to New Beginnings

By December 7, 2017 Spirituality, Video

As you all may know the winter solstice is well on its way. For the Northern Hemisphere, it is on Thursday, December 21st.

For anyone who did not know the winter solstice marks the first day of winter according to the astronomical calendar. That being said, the meteorological winter has already been underway since December 1st. The winter solstice will mark the longest night and shortest day of 2017.

To be a little more exact the day of the winter solstice will be about 5 hours and 50 minutes shorter than the summer solstice. According to the NOAA“In the Northern Hemisphere, it occurs when the sun is directly over the tropic of Capricorn, which is located at 23.5 degrees south of the equator and runs through Australia, Chile, southern Brazil, and northern South Africa.” The Northern Hemisphere is tipped at its furthest point away from the sun when the winter solstice takes place.

Chances are you won’t really notice much of a difference in general but the sun will be at it’s lowest. It will seem as if the day flew by considering how dark it gets so quickly. During this solstice, there will be some new energies coming about but I don’t think they are anything to be too worried about. If anything they are a bridge to something spectacular. Allow this time to shift your perspective to something new.

“December is full of the beauty of Light and love we can bring into our life. You can chose to be stressed or you can choose to let the small stuff go and be peaceful this Holiday season.

It really is a choice you make.”

Some may not even notice a change in energy, while others could be extremely affected by it.  If you notice this energy becoming too much for you remember to stay grounded and protect your own personal energy. During this time you will want to leave behind any and all emotional baggage that has been weighing you down.

I find that smudging white sage during this time is so much more intense and fulfilling. The winter solstice is something to celebrate and embrace not something to hide from and fear. There is an intensely heightened potency of otherworldly energy during this time that we should not be missing out on.

Use this energy to celebrate your existence and manifest your goals. You can do whatever you set your mind to as long as your heart is involved. Stop and listen to the world around you, this transformation will be a special one.
