Experiment Confirms That Reality Doesn’t Exist If You Are Not Looking at It

Australian scientists have recreated a famous experiment and confirmed quantum physics bizarre predictions about the nature of reality. They have shown that reality does not actually exist until we measure it.

They replicated an experiment called John Wheeler’s Delayed Choice Thought Experiment, proposed back in 1978. Now almost 40 years later, the Australian team has managed to recreate the experiment using helium atoms scattered by laser light.

The delayed choice experiment illustrates how what happens in the present can change the way that things happen in the past. It shows how time can go backwards, how cause and effect can be reversed, and how the future caused the past.
