Sometimes we have to come face to face with some really sh!tty situations and things of the sort so that we can actually become stronger as human beings. Life is not as simple as we want it to be, and refusing to take risks or be ourselves is not the way to live it. Below, I am going to go over some of the things that we all have to accept as truths when we want to become stronger versions of ourselves. These things are hard to swallow, but make so much difference.

9 Truths That You Have To Accept To Become Stronger:

1. There is no such thing as ‘perfect.’

Perfection does not exist; you are not perfect, and neither is anyone else. Everyone is going through their own problems and has their own flaws. Just because you cannot see them does not mean they are not there.

2. You cannot change the past.

You cannot change the things you have done in the past or the things that have happened to you in the past. The past is something we have to all overcome at one point or another in our lives. Do not obsess, let it go.

3. You are responsible for your own mistakes.

You cannot blame your mistakes on other people. You are responsible for the things you say and the things you do. If you mess up, you need to own up to it.

4. We all fail sometimes and that is alright.

We all fail sometimes, again, no one is perfect. There is nothing wrong with failing when you’ve given something your all. We learn from these failures and eventually, they will turn into success stories.

5. If you really want something you will make time for it.

If you really want to do something or see someone you will find the time. In this life, we don’t have to do a lot of things, most things we do because we choose to. Choose to make time for the things that actually matter to you.

6. Your life is YOUR life.

You are the only one in charge of your life. Other people do not get to live it for you. You cannot let other people control you if you want to be happy.

7. You are not defined by the opinions of others.

The opinions of others should not be able to define who you are. Only you know your story so only you can define yourself. Do not sell yourself short, because you are worth so much more!

8. Change is inevitable.

Change is always going to happen, whether we want it to or not. Change is not something we can stop, and it is also not something we should try to stop. Change is not always a bad thing.

9. Tomorrow is not promised.

Tomorrow is never promised, so you should learn to treasure today. Your whole life could change or even end in an instant. Cherish the moments while you have them, and learn to make the most of each day.
