Sure, positive thinking might work for most people, but it doesn’t work for everyone. Sometimes saying fuck positive thinking will really lead to a huge change in your life.
Sometimes you need to look at the negative side of things to get you where you need to be. You need to really let the bad things sink in so that the good ones hold meaning, to begin with. There is nothing wrong with doing what works for you and if positive thinking isn’t working, try something else.
Don’t get me wrong, if positive thinking is working for you go for it but don’t be afraid to sometimes just let the negative thoughts push you to get things done if that is what needs to happen. Below you will find a list of things I learned when I finally said fuck you to positive thinking. These are things I needed to learn for a while but until I took that leap, I couldn’t for some reason.
9 Things I Learned About Life After Saying Fu*k Positive Thinking
Happiness isn’t going to be something you can just find or chase. You have to create it yourself from within. While it might be hard to understand now, once you really let you things will begin making a lot more sense.
2. You are never as in control as you want to be and you never will be.
You will want to be in control of everything but realistically that isn’t possible. Being in control of all aspects of your life isn’t possible. There is a lot more to it than you realize.
3. Just because you think it doesn’t mean you have to actually act on it.
Just because something comes into your mind doesn’t mean you have to make it real. You are not defined by the thoughts you have. You can change them.
4. ‘Perfect’ does not exist.
Perfect is not real. You are not perfect and no one else is perfect. Perfection can never be found.
5. Stressing doesn’t do any good, ever.
Stress only causes more problems within our lives. If you are stressed it isn’t going to help anyone at all. Learning to calm yourself down is a great thing to be aware of.
6. If you never try you will never succeed.
If you don’t try you will never get anywhere. Succeeding cannot be done without making a move towards it. Stop setting yourself up for failure.
7. You can never get your ‘time’ back.
Time is something we don’t have a lot of and you can never get back the time you lose. Stop wasting it. It isn’t as infinite as you might think.
You can’t change anyone else. You can only change yourself. Trying to force other people into changing is not going to help anyone, even if you want it to.
The opinions of others do not define you. You are your own person and you do the things you want to do. Stop letting the opinions of others hold you back.
