Hippies are some of the most interesting people to live. They live life the happiest of ways, appreciating only what matters: Life and life itself, along with the Earth that sustains us so well.
Hippies have started to become more of a normal social group, but I’m not talking about the kids at school who wear Grateful Dead shirts – No, I’m talking about the real deal. I wish we could go back to the Woodstock days, and I’m sure I’m not alone! Although Woodstock is over, we still have modern day rainbow gatherings! Rainbow gatherings are known as temporarily loosely knit communities of people who congregate in remote forests around the world to enact a shared ideology of peace, freedom, harmony, and respect. It’s an amazing thing, and I myself would love to take part in one!
Anybody is allowed to attend the rainbow festivals, and each refers to themselves as the rainbow family. Their goal is to create what they believe is a more soulful society away from materialistic, consumerism, capitalism, and mass media. You started to see them around the 1960’s, but they still happen in modern day times! Just check out these marvelous photos below. They’ll no doubt make you want to seek out your own rainbow family.
