In the days following the highly dramatic live assassination of Russia’s ambassador to Turkey, many people including Putin are alleging that the events were a staged false flag event. The allegations don’t end there, either, as many Russian officials believe NATO could be responsible for the shooting.
Both Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan who are the heads of state of Russia and Turkey respectively have resisted speculation on terrorists being responsible for the attack. However, both have spoken about various theories regarding the event. The Independent reported that two Russian senators had alleged that the West was responsible for the assassination.
A man that has been referred to as “Putin’s clown in chief”, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, stated that the shooting was “a false flag operation by the West.”
After the attack, Putin stated that the “Attack on Russian ambassador was a provocation against the good relations that Turkey and Russia carried out in Syria.” Erdogan released a similar statement saying that “Both Turkey and Russia have the will not to be deceived by this provocation.
Immediately following the shooting of Karlov, Altintas, who is supposedly responsible for shooting Karlov yelled “allahu akbar” and then spoke in Arabic saying “We’ve made an oath to Mohammed to die in martyrdom, [it is] revenge for Syria and Aleppo.”
The shooting took place a day before Russia, Turkey and Iran were due to hold peace talks regarding the Syrian conflict. While Russia and Iran have continued to back the Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad, Turkey has supported the opposition.
We have included a video which speculates on similar theories. While this could indeed be true, we continue to remain unbiased until further information has been released. Since the shooting took place, information has come to light each day regarding the horrific event, and that flow of information will not stop until the truth has been exposed.
