Did you know there are actually a lot of legends surrounding what hummingbirds were put here for? May believe they are healers who help those become luckier in their travels, but are they?
While hummingbirds are some of the smallest birds on this planet they are incredibly amazing. They can change direction effortlessly and are able to move about with such speed that oftentimes we do not even notice them. Hummingbirds bring with them a message of hope that we often do not listen to.
Hummingbirds represent living a life filled with joy and sweetness that for them is nectar. They teach us to move towards the things we want in life whether we have to do so quickly or slowly. When you see a hummingbird it could mean a lot of things. For one, a deceased loved one could be sending you a message through the hummingbird, as can happen with most other animals as well. But on the other hand, it could also mean that you need to take a step back and reflect on something we have not been paying attention to lately.
We need to look at life from a different perspective. You see, the hummingbird teaches us that we need to go beyond time and work through the things holding us back so that we can open up for the future but still be present in each and every moment. The hum of this mesmerizing bird’s wings symbolizes energetic healing and is a reminder for us to lighten up. So if you merely hear a hummingbird chances are you should try to make the most of what you are going through. Nothing is ever as bad as it seems.
Now, as a totem, hummingbirds are for most a symbol of lightness. They represent being relaxed and present. The colors of the hummingbird remind us to be interesting and bring color to our lives. As mentioned above we can learn a lot from the hummingbird.
That all being said, when there is a hummingbird in your dream you are being sent something positive. It is nothing to fear. This is a representation of freedom and positive energy. This means something good is coming your way. Hummingbirds are very important, for the Aztec people they were seen as message carriers to and from those who had passed.
There are several Native American tribes who saw the hummingbird as a hero, a sort of bond between this world and the next. The next time you notice a hummingbird take the time to actually receive the message it has for you. Listening with your soul is not as hard as you might think.
