It’s April and while we normally would be expecting things to be heating up they aren’t. For many of us, it seems the cold weather is not quite over just yet.
For people across northern US waves of bitter cold will be continuing on for a while. Record colds from Montana to Wisconsin and many other places may have it feeling more like winter than anything else. The first week of April brought more snow and with that icy temperatures.
ABC News reported as follows in regards to the weather dip we are experiencing:
Even in Houston, a location that sits on the Gulf of Mexico, wind chills this morning are down near 40 degrees. In the Northeast, it feels like February with wind chills dipping into the 20s. There will be some improvement on Monday, but not much. It will still feel very much like winter across much of the eastern U.S. with wind chills in the 20s and 30s for most.
There is a storm system working it’s way up the east coast and another on the west. Winter weather advisories have been issued for parts of Ohio Valley and light snow has developed. Between the snow and rain who knows when this will end basically if you’re not getting one, you are getting the other.
While record lows are in forecast Saturday morning in midwest, a different record will be set across the Western US: record warm overnight lows due to the “Pineapple Express” or “atmospheric river” of Pacific moisture. https://t.co/Kyh4WATRVQ pic.twitter.com/3LqUa1Oy6a

Does the sky look “heavy”, as if something may be falling from the clouds? There is! Regional composite shows snow falling over the metro, but the local radar at our office shows it evaporating before reaching the ground – “Virga” pic.twitter.com/20611exQch

If you have been watching the weather or the news chances are you already knew these things but isn’t it odd? This could affect lots of things depending on how you look at it. It could cause damage to wheat crops and so forth.
Isn’t it odd that our winter wasn’t that bad and yet our spring is off to this kind of start? What on Earth is going on with the weather in recent times? I am sure you all have a good idea, for more on this please feel free to check out the video below.
