We all know about the Fukushima disaster and the neverending effects it has and will continue to have on us and our environment. Finally, this danger is being recognized by those who should be doing something about it.
Stunningly Friday The Maebashi District Court was the first to recognize the negligence by the state as well as Tepco. This being something that The Japanese Government and Tepco ( a subsidiary of General Electric) have strongly denied. The judge going so far as to calling the massive tsunami ‘predictable’ and could have been avoided. Which is all true,
The Japanese Government has been ordered to pay tens of millions in compensation after they have now been found guilty of causing the Fukushima disaster. According to Japan Times, the district court ordered the two to pay damaged totaling ¥38.55 million to 62 of 137 plaintiffs from 45 households located near the plant.
Citing a government estimate released back in 2002 the court was able to rule that Tepco was capable of foreseeing several months after that a large tsunami posed a risk to the facility and could possibly flood its premises and damage safety equipment this including the backup generators. Fukushima radiation has easily contaminated the entire pacific ocean and is STILL leaking 300 tons of radioactive waste every single day.
Some are saying that the Pacific ocean itself is well past radioactive and if something big is not done soon we may be in for some devastating things to come. Fukushima is real, it did happen, it is still happening! We need to fix this problem. Why is it that no one wants to talk about this?
