Energy is a huge part of all of our lives. Without energy, we would basically cease to exist.
We are energy and so is everything around us. In this life, we can choose to give off negative energy or positive energy and we have to be careful of the energies around us. We tend to absorb some of the energies around us, so if we are surrounded by negative energies we will absorb them on some level.
It is important to know how to protect yourself and your personal energy. You can be the most positive person in the world but if you are absorbing negative energies you will never be happy. Continuing to allow negative energies to bring you down is not going to get you far in this world.
Below I am going to go over some of the steps that I take to protect myself that may be able to help you as well. Our energies are something we have to be aware of. If you spend your whole life ignoring the things you put out and the things you take in you will get stuck in a rut of negative energies. Please don’t be that person, face the things below with an open mind.
Get rid of any negative people that may be in your life. Negative people are the people who use us, they only want to be around to benefit from us. These people are never around when we need them and they always want something.
We should not be letting people walk all over us. One big part of being protected from negative energy is not giving it power. If you surround yourself with negative people, you are giving negative energy far more power than you should be.
You can cleanse in whatever way you see fit but I like to smudge with white sage. I do not allow negative people into my home and about once every two weeks or so I smudge. This gets all of the low-level negative energies out of my personal space. While it may sound a bit too simple to work, it will benefit you greatly.
White light meditation is something I do before I get my day started EVERY day. I sit alone usually in the dark but if you prefer to meditate in the light that is up to you. I envision a white light surrounding my body and essentially creating a bubble around my body. This bubble will protect me throughout my day and keep negative energy from penetrating into my energy force and aura in general.
It does not take a lot of time. I meditate for a mere 20 minutes each morning, but you can even do this in less time if you want. Just figure out what works best for you and do it.
At the end of the day, let go of any negative things that have clung to you. Sit for a few minutes and let go of anything that might be bothering you. Calm down, relax, and get yourself into a good mindset. I do this after work each day and it helps tremendously. Don’t bring drama and problems home from elsewhere. Let your time at home be your time to wind down and take things easy.
