Our bodies have ways of speaking to us without words. Have you ever been tired and your body just would not function? This is one of the many ways your body lets you know that you need to take some time to relax.
With that being said, some of the ways our body speaks to us are not so obvious. You may be in dire need of relaxation without noticing. If you’re experiencing any of the following you may want to give a bit of relaxation a try.
1. Weight gain
People who are sleep deprived eat a full 300 more calories a day than people who get the proper amount of sleep. If you aren’t getting enough sleep you will be stressed and unable to properly enjoy your day.
2. Stomach aches
If you are dealing with stomach aches there has to be a reason behind them. Worrying/stressing in general can upset your digestion process.
Yes stress makes your head hurt, if you have had a headache for a few days in a row it is time to take a break.
4. Sleeping problems
If you are unable to get enough sleep you are likely far too stressed out and upset to have your mind settle down. While you may not think you are overstressing you probably are.
5. Poor memory
people dealing with too much often have trouble remembering everything. No you aren’t losing your mind, you just need to take a minute to chill out.
6. Decreased sex drive
Yes, stressing out can even affect you in bed. If you aren’t getting enough sleep/relaxation you are going to notice a decrease in your libido quickly.
This is one of the more obvious signs, but surprisingly some people are even oblivious to it.
8. Eye twitching
Yes, eye twitching. You know that awkward irritating feeling when your eyelid seems to be moving on its own? That is what I am talking about.
9. Lack of patience
If your patience has recently gone out the window you need time to yourself. The world is annoying there is nothing wrong with wanting to get away even if just for a second.
10. Muscle pain
This can come in the form of back pain and other things of the sort. This is because when we are dealing with pressure we hold our muscles tighter than we would if we were able to relax.
Remember that relaxing is important for your wellbeing; if you are stressed out you do not have to do it alone. Speak up and let someone lighten your load. Enjoy the life you have and stop being so tense, there will always be time to do things, relaxing is essential.
